Drawing Dead Birds

Yesterday, I went to the Field Museum and got a chance to see some neat things and draw a dead, stuffed Blyth’s Hornbill with cotton ball eyes.

1st neat thing:

insects eat flesh off of bones so that you can have a collection of clean bones stored in a box with a beautiful label. The room is smelly where they live but at least you are feeding the insects and then in return they help you out. This is what is called a mutualistic relationship (i’m pretty sure, but I should prob check my notes). Both parties benefit from the others existence.
